PROCÉS. PHONOS AV

PROCÉS is a multichannel sound composition by the Barcelona based artist
EMARX created during his residency at the Fundación Phonos (CAT). All
the sounds in this piece correspond to original machinery from the Catalan
industrialization process that has been recorded over the last two years in a
project to safeguard heritage. In this three-movement piece ((De)Construcció,
Sistematització, Externalització), the sounds have been distributed in space
by layers, just as in an orchestra the instruments are grouped according to
their nature. No sound has been processed. No sound has been recreated. This
is PROCÉS, a journey through the beauty and brutality of industrialization.
